The FloTrol gate is a vertical opening gate that is used to control the flow into a channel or pipe. The
gates are an all-in-one package that combines an aluminum gate with a linear actuator, control panel, solar power system and telemetry system.
The gates offer a number of different automatic control options to the operators, which provides the operators with maximum flexibility when it comes to managing the canal system.

accurate flow metering
The Flotrol gate is often supplied with an electromagnetic for accurate flow rate measurement and control in irrigation applications. Auke have experience with a number of different flow meters suppliers around from around the globe and are able to recommend the right metering solution to suit each clients requirements.
The flow meter can be installed either be installed upstream or downstream of the gate depending on the site requirements. The meter provides instantaneous flow rate feedback to the gate to ensure the correct flow rate is maintained by the gate at all times.
Accurate, high quality flow metering gives both the client and the farmer confidence that the water charges are correct and fair.
IOT control system
Auke provides all of the benefits associated with Internet of Things (IoT) systems for their clients. Having internet connected control systems means that all of Auke's clients are able to access prompt and reliable remote support and upgrades from Auke's engineers. This significantly reduces downtime for the client and means that the operators are never truly alone in the field because expert assistance is only a phone call away.

This simple design means that their is no regular maintence required for a FloTrol gate, Auke recommend a simple 10 minute inspection every year to check for damage, and that is all the scheduled maintenance that a FloTrol gate will ever need.

Aukes integrated solution of combining the gate, sensors, controls and solar power into one item means that installation couldn't be easier, simply clean the concrete and attach the gate.

installation
The FloTrol gate is mounted on the opening of existing concrete structure (or new structure). This allows the traditional opening of the structure to be maintained so there is no loss in flow capacity. It typically requires little or no concrete work which reduces cost and installation time.
The FloTrol design offers bi-directional sealing as standard, which means that that gate can be mounted on either the entry or exit of a structure without the need for modification.
Sizing
The gates can be delivered in standard or custom sizes to meet the clients requirements. Standard sizes offer quick product delivery, whilst custom sizes allow the gates to be designed to suit the existing concrete which significantly reduces project costs.
